Valley Academy proudly presents selections from the beloved classical ballet Sleeping Beauty. This enchanting performance showcases variations and dances from the treasured ballet, highlighting the elegance and musicality of Marius Petipa and Pyotr Tchaikovsky.

Rooted in rich tradition and timeless storytelling, these excerpts transport audiences to a world of royal celebration, magic, and splendor. From sparkling fairy dances to vibrant ensemble works and beloved storybook characters, each piece reflects the beauty and grandeur that have made this ballet a cornerstone of classical ballet repertoire.

The second half of the program will feature Vision Dance Theatre’s presentation of original choreography by Jennifer Miller. Jennifer is a former dancer with the Milwaukee Ballet and currently serves as Ballet Mistress for the Minnesota Ballet. Her distinguished performance career and leadership in the professional ballet world bring a wealth of experience and artistic insight to her choreographic voice.

Jennifer’s works offer a dynamic and expressive contrast to the classical selections presented in the first half of the program. Her choreography blends strong technical foundations with contemporary movement qualities, creating powerful, engaging pieces that showcase the versatility and growth of the dancers.

Together, these two halves create a thoughtfully curated program that celebrates both the enduring legacy of classical ballet and the vitality of new choreographic works. Audiences are invited to experience an inspiring evening of dance that honors tradition, embraces innovation, and highlights the dedication and artistry of every performer on stage.
